Danevsky Piy Nikodimovich ( 1820 - 1892 ) - Russian lawyer, one of the prominent figures in the judicial reform of Emperor Alexander II .

He was born in the Kiev province in a small estate of his father. He studied at noble schools, then at the Second Kiev Gymnasium. For excellent successes in Russian literature and Greek, he was awarded a gold medal and certificate with the right to the rank of XIV class. After graduating from high school, he entered the law faculty of the University of St. Vladimir . He received the title of Master of Civil Law.
From 1843 he was a teacher and then professor of civil laws and laws of state improvement in the Nezhin legal lyceum and was in this position until 1853.
Later he served in the II branch of His Imperial Majesty’s own Chancellery and was a member of the commission for drafting laws relating to the transformation of the judicial part. In 1868, Danevsky was appointed chairman of the department of the Odessa Court of Justice, in 1870 - a senator.
Wrote the study "History of the formation of the State Council in Russia." In addition, Danevsky published a number of articles of legal content in Russian and German publications, which were appreciated by specialists of that time.
