History
The history of the participation of Bratsk teams in the national championships can be divided into four stages, each of which is associated with a new team name. It all began in 1967, when the “Pursey” was included in the number of participants of the USSR Championship among the teams of class “B”. Under this name, the team performed for three seasons (while taking the 8th place twice). He was replaced by Sibiryak, who in 1973 won the zonal tournament of the championship of the USSR among the teams of the second league. In the final, where the zone winners met, Sibiryak did not perform very well. After that, the team was disbanded.
The return took place in 1976, when Energy was among the participants in the USSR championship. For three years allotted to her, she did not show herself. After Energy took the last place in 1978, Bratsk again lost its place in the national championship. The next revival of the team occurred only after 20 years.
In 1998, Sibiryak made its debut in the championship of Russia among the teams of the second league. For 14 years of participation in this tournament, Sibiryak has established itself as a strong middle peasant.
