Shmuel Kaminetsky's parents repatriated from the USSR due to religious persecution in 1946.

Born in Kfar Chabad in 1965.

Until Jewish adulthood ( bar mitzvah ) he studied in a header in Kfar Habad until 1978. From 1978 to 1981 he studied in the yeshiva of the city ​​of Lod .

In 1981, he came to the United States to study with the Lubavitcher Rebbe , graduated from Rabbinical College of America in Morristown , New Jersey . He continued his education and taught in the yeshiva for the Rebbe's messengers in the city of New Haven , Connecticut .

In 1988 he received smikhu (the title of rabbi) in Yeshiva Eastern Parkway 770 .

In 1989, he married Hana Lipsker, Rabbi Shmuel and Hana Kaminetsky raise six daughters and three sons.

Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetsky arrived in Dnepropetrovsk as envoy of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in 1990.

He was elected chief rabbi of Dnepropetrovsk and the Dnipropetrovsk region, chairman of the board of the Dnepropetrovsk Jewish community in 1990.

At the time of the arrival of Rabbi Kaminetsky, only a small synagogue was functioning in Dnepropetrovsk ^[2] , so he devoted all his efforts to the search and education of Jews in Dnepropetrovsk and the subsequent revival of the Jewish way of life in the region.

Thanks to his activities:

• the choral synagogue “Golden Rose ^[3] ” was restored;

For these and other services he was awarded the medal "For Services to the City of Dnepropetrovsk . "

In June 2016, he stated that there was a split between Russian Jews and Ukrainian, due to the fact that Russian Jews were zombified ^[9] .

Shmuel Kaminetsky: I will give an example of a community in Berlin. There are local Jews and a large diaspora from Russia and Ukraine. The debate between them reaches almost fights, because Russian Jews are zombified by television. They do not see the situation, and Ukrainian Jews know the truth about what Vladimir Putin is doing and what Russia is doing. Therefore, the relationship between them is very tense. Those Jews who live in Russia are intimidated, therefore they cannot speak freely.

Yevgeny Satanovsky in response, on Vesti FM radio accused Kamenetsky of the fact that the latter received funding from the Ukrainian oligarch Kolomoisky ^[10] .
