Biography
He graduated from MGIMO of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1973) and the Higher Diplomatic Courses of Continuing Professional Education at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2000). He speaks Vietnamese , French and English . He worked in various diplomatic posts in the central office and abroad.

- 1982-1988 - First Secretary, Advisor to the Embassy of the USSR in Vietnam.
- 1992-1997 - Advisor and Envoy of the Embassy of Russia in Thailand .
- 1997-2001 - Deputy Director of the Personnel Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
- April 9, 2001 - December 9, 2004 - Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Vietnam [1] [2] .
- January 2004 - December 2007 - Deputy Director of the Department of ASEAN Countries and Common Asian Problems of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
- January - September 2008 - Director of the Department of the Asia-Pacific Region of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
