  • June 8 - The 68th Tony Awards ceremony was held at the Radio City Music Hall concert hall ( New York ), where the new musical, The Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, took 4 prizes out of 10 nominations, and Tennessee’s play Williams ' Glass Menagerie "won her first Tony, having survived 7 productions on Broadway before this without a single award. New Theaters
