- April 13 - Laurence Olivier Award Ceremony was held at the Royal Theater of Covent Garden ( London ). Lucy Kirkwood's new play “Chimerica” was the leader in dramatic nominations; the Book of Mormon was named the best musical.
- June 8 - The 68th Tony Awards ceremony was held at the Radio City Music Hall concert hall ( New York ), where the new musical, The Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, took 4 prizes out of 10 nominations, and Tennessee’s play Williams ' Glass Menagerie "won her first Tony, having survived 7 productions on Broadway before this without a single award. New Theaters
In Voronezh , the “ Theater of Equals ” opened, half of the troupe of which are children with disabilities. At the head of the creative process of the theater is a professional director [9] .
