Edward Gal ( Dutch: Edward Gal ; born March 4, 1970, Reden ) is a Dutch horse-riding equestrian who performs dressage, 2012 Olympic medalist, and multiple world champion.

Biography
At about fourteen Gal began to actively engage in horseback riding. Why dressage? “This is the only thing I wanted to do, although my family is completely unrelated to horses. I bought my first pony when I was 17 years old. I started horse dressing when I outgrew my riding pony. ”
He was originally trained by Rin van der Shaft. Later, he went to the students of Anki van Grünsven , who, with the help of her husband Sef Jansen, brought Edward to the big sport.
Later, together with business partner Nicole Werner, he founded the horse base in 1996 in Harskamp.
Gala’s career as a high-level rider went on growing after working with the stallion Ling, thanks to cooperation with this horse Edward got the motivation to continue his career, “I said earlier that my victory in the final of the World Cup in Las Vegas 2005, with former partner Ling was the most memorable. The American audience arrived the day before the competition to see the horses getting ready for the finals, and they were just ecstatic when they saw the added Ling Lynx. It was surprising that they began to greet him during the test, considering this horse too special! ”For a long time there was no horse to start on, and Gal worked as a caretaker and did not start, everything changed when a handsome black man appeared in his work Gribaldi. On it, Edward returned to the sport and later got under his saddle Totilas / Totilas (Gribaldi x Glendale), who was affectionately called Toto. The most memorable dressage story? “Totilas surprised me and the world and still continues to amaze me. I have never had a horse like him, now in 2010, he is only 10 years old. In London, he hit everyone and broke his own World Record, gaining 92.30%. There is no end to his possibilities, and this makes me experience happy and excited things with him, and while there is a chance to ride and show this wonderful horse I will use this opportunity, this is an incredible experience. I can't stop talking about him, and the audience can't, not a single one. ”Currently works at the Glock Horse Perfomanse Center and trains horses such as Glock's Voice, Glock's Undercover, Glock's Romanov, Glock's Toto Jr (Main Horses! Personal life
Gal is in a long-term relationship with teammate Hans Peter Minderhood. He was interviewed in several Dutch media about his homosexuality and his relationship with Minderhood.
