Chersonese (cape)

Cape Khersones is a cape in the west of the Heracles Peninsula , the extreme western point of Sevastopol (refers to the Gagarinsky district of the city) and the southern part of the Crimean Peninsula . It extends into the Black Sea . Since 1816, a lighthouse has been operating on the cape, which ensures the approach of ships and vessels to the port of Sevastopol , the height of the lighthouse is 36 meters.
