The action of the film takes place in Edinburgh , where the series itself was filmed. [2] The premiere of the first season was held in June 2011 on the British television channel BBC1 and in October of the same year on the American television channel PBS . The second season began in 2013 [3] .

Season 2 (2013)

In October 2011, two 2-hour episodes were confirmed by the creators of the series. [8] In September 2012, the BBC reported that three 90-minute episodes are scheduled for the second season. The first episode is based on Kate Atkinson ’s novel “ A Little Light, with a Dog Together ” . [3] Original scripts are written for the second and third episodes. [9] The filming of the second season was also held in Edinburgh, in mid-October 2012. The show returned to television on May 19, 2013.
