The diocese of Morogoro ( lat. Dioecesis Morogoroensis ) is the diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the city of Morogoro , Tanzania . Included in the metropolis of Dar es Salaam . The cathedral is the church of St. Patrick.

History
On May 11, 1906, the Holy See established the Apostolic Vicariate of Zanguebara, selecting it from the Apostolic Vicariate of Zanzibar (today the Diocese of Zanzibar ). On December 21, 1906, the apostolic vicariate of Zanguebara was renamed the apostolic vicariate of Bagamoyo.
On September 13, 1910 and January 28, 1935, the Apostolic Vicariate of Bahamoyo transferred part of his territory to form the Apostolic Vicariate of Kilimanzhdaro (today the Diocese of Moshi ) and the Apostolic Prefecture of Dodoma (today the Diocese of Dodoma )
On March 25, 1953, Pope Paul VI issued the “Quemadmodum ad Nos” bull , which transformed the apostolic vicariate of Bahamoyo into the diocese of Morogoro.
