The Archdiocese of Dodoma ( Latin: Archidioecesis Dodomaënsis ) is the archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the city of Dodoma , Tanzania . The metropolitanate of Dodoma includes the dioceses of Kondoa and Singida . The Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Dodoma is the Church of St. Paul Cross.

History
On April 28, 1935, Pope Pius XII published the bull “Romani Pontificis” , which established the apostolic prefecture of Dodoma, separating it from the apostolic vicars of Bahamoyo (today - the Diocese of Morogoro ), Kilimanjaro (today - the Diocese of Moshi ) and the apostolic archipriarchy - prefect )
On April 14, 1943, the apostolic prefecture of Dodoma transferred part of its territory for the formation of the apostolic prefecture of Mbulu (today - the Diocese of Mbulu )
On May 10, 1951, Pope Pius XII published the bull “In Tanganyikensi” , which transformed the apostolic prefecture of Dodoma into an apostolic vicar.
On March 25, 1953, Pope Pius XII issued the bull Quemadmodum ad Nos , which transformed the Apostolic Vicariate of Dodoma into a diocese.
On March 25, 1972 and March 12, 2011, the Diocese of Dodoma transferred part of its territory to form new dioceses of Singida and Kondoa .
On November 6, 2014, the diocese of Dodoma was elevated to the rank of archdiocese-metropolis.
