Anteo Zamboni ( Italian: Anteo Zamboni ; April 11, 1911, Bologna - October 31, 1926, Bologna) is an Italian anarchist who was killed by the Nazis at the age of 15 without trial or investigation for attempting to assassinate Benito Mussolini .

Biography
The son of Viola Tabarroni (1886–1972) and Mammolo Zamboni (1882–1952), a printing house and former anarchist who passed on to the Nazis, the younger brother of Assunto and Lodovico.
On October 31, 1926, while visiting Mussolini, Bologna was shot at him several times, and a group of fascists lynched on the spot of Anteo Zamboni suspected by them of the assassination attempt. The first to be captured by Zamboni was a cavalry officer Carlo Alberto Pazolini, the father of film director Pierre Paolo Pazolini [1] . The incident was used by the fascist regime to restrict political freedoms and the dissolution of the last opposition parties [2] [3] .
Allegations of eyewitnesses about the teenager’s arms were later questioned, the testimonies of Mussolini and the leader of the Bologna fascist organization Arpinati about the circumstances of the incident varied; subsequently, versions were put forward that his opponents in the fascist environment were involved in this assassination attempt on Mussolini. The investigation of the Special Security Tribunal of the state , created after this attempt, remained secret for a long time after the fall of the Mussolini regime.
Perpetuation of memory
In Bologna there is a street named in memory of Anteo - Mura Anteo Zamboni (Wall of Anteo Zamboni), starting from the Gate Square of San Donato [4] . On the building of the city administration of Bologna (the , otherwise the Palazzo Comunale) from Via Independenza (the palace also has a different facade on Piazza Nettuno, in the area of which the assassination attempt on Mussolini took place) there is a memorial plaque with the following text:
Bologna of the people, in a single endeavor honoring their courageous sons who fell victims in the twenty-year anti-fascist struggle, sanctifies Anteo Zamboni for centuries for his selfless love of freedom with this stone. The young martyr is brutally murdered here by the thugs of the dictatorship of 31-10-1926.
