Duo Story
The story of Bag Raiders dates back to the mid -1990s , when Jack Glass and Chris Tracy met as members of the Cranbrook School Orchestra [2] . But the musicians began their collaboration in 2005 [3] . Glass and Tracey began to create mixes of pop and rock music compositions of the 1970s [3] . In 2006, the musicians seriously thought about working together. The duo was called Bag Raiders.
Initially, Glass and Tracy were involved in the creation of remixes for third-party artists [4] [5] . In 2007, Bag Raiders signed to Bang Gang 12 Inches. Influenced by the works of The Brothers Johnson, Earth, Wind & Fire , 808 State and Orbital [6], musicians record and publish mini-albums The Bag Raiders and Fun Punch . In October 2008, the first single Bag Raiders “Turbo Love!” Was released, which, however, was not successful.
Popularity for the musicians came with the release of the single " Shooting Stars " in 2009 . The track took 11th place in Triple J Hottest 100 and 44th line of ARIA Charts [7] . The song received wide rotation on Australian radio stations [8] , and the musicians themselves were included in the list of “50 leading Australian DJs” and placed there at 11 positions [9] . After the release of “Shooting Stars,” Jack Glass and Chris Tracey announced the imminent release of a full-length studio album .
The next single was "Way Back Home", released in September 2010, brought fame to the duo in Europe . On October 1, the first studio album of the duo of the same name Bag Raiders was released . The album debuted on the 7th line of the ARIA Albums Chart. The second single from Bag Raiders' album is “Sunlight,” which was recorded with Dan Black .
Currently, nothing is being announced about the release of new studio material, and the musicians themselves are actively engaged in concert activities.
