Biography
Margarita is the daughter of the Duke Wilhelm of Braunschweig-Luneburg and Dorothea of Denmark . On September 16, 1599 in Coburg, Margarita married the Duke of Johann Casimir of Saxe-Coburg , becoming his second wife. The marriage was happy, but childless. After the death of Johann Casimir in 1633, Saxe-Coburg lost its independence and was inherited by his brother Johann Ernst of Saxe-Eisenach . Margarita returned to Celle, where she died in 1643. She was buried in the princely tomb in the city church of Celle.
