Biography

The representative of the senior line of the noble family of the Polevs (Smolensk branch of the Rurikovich ). The only son of Ivan Ivanovich Polev.

In 1577, Bogdan Polev was mentioned in the list of boyars, prisoners and noblemen who served “ out of choice ”, but in that year he was not “ due to illness ”.

In September 1585, due to the illness of Mikhail Glebovich Saltykov, Bogdan Polev was appointed the second governor in the guard regiment under Prince Roman Agishevich Tyumen , when the tsarist government planned to send an army to Veliky Novgorod , and from there to the Swedish possessions in the Baltic states, then he was unsuccessful the governor from the left-hand regiment, Prince I.M. Boryatinsky [1] .

Sent head to Astrakhan (1588) and served there under the command of the boyar and governor Prince F.M. Troekurova .

In 1591 - 1592 he was a city governor in the city of Bely . In 1595, Bogdan Polev was appointed to the province of Pelym , where he may have also been in 1596 - 1597 . Bogdan Polev received an order to build a city, but soon the work was suspended, and the governor had to take care of the construction of prison and city fortifications. During his stay in the Voivodship in Pelym, Bogdan Polev imposed a heavy “ yasak ” on the indigenous inhabitants - Voguls ( Mansi ). In response, the Mansi appealed to the king with a petition, asking to ease the " yasak ." In June 1596, the royal decree abolished the heavy tribute imposed by the Pelym governor.

In 1598, Bogdan Polev signed a zemstvo resolution on the election of Boris Fedorovich Godunov to the royal throne. In the same year, he commanded a guard regiment in smooth ratification on the Oka River during the campaign of Tsar Boris Godunov to Serpukhov against the khan Kazy-Girey Bora (May-June 1598) [1] .

In 1598 - 1599, he was the second regimental governor and “ comrade ” of Prince Ivan Andreevich Tatev , the first governor of the Ukrainian guard guard in Orel , who at that time was locate with the governor of the large regiment, Prince I.P. Romodanovsky .

In 1600 - 1601 he was the second governor and deputy prince I.A. Tatev in Livny . After the governor was assigned to the border regiments, the Lebanese governors I. A. Tatev and B. I. Polev were assigned to the guard regiment, which was stationed in Orel , and later transferred to the voivodship in Bolkhov [1] .

In 1601 - 1602 - the second governor in Borisov , in 1614 - 1615 - the first governor in Murom , from where he was released to the capital in 1616 . In the same 1616, he is mentioned in the “ salary book ”.

On May 12, 1624 , September 23, 1624, and May 31, 1625, during the praying “campaigns” of Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich in the Trinity-Sergius Monastery, Bogdan Polev was among other dignitaries who were supposed to “ spend the night and spend the night in the sovereign’s court ” with the boyar Fedor Ivanovich Sheremetev .

On May 17, 1625, the nobleman Bogdan Ivanovich Polev was present at the reception of the Persian ambassador Rusam-bek.
