The Archdiocese of Arusha ( Latin: Archidioecesis Arushaënsis ) is the archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in Arusha , Tanzania . The Metropolitanate of Arusha includes the dioceses of Mbulu , Moshi , Same . The cathedral of the Archdiocese of Arusha is the church of St. Theresa.

History
On March 1, 1964, Pope John XXIII issued the bull “Christi mandata” , which established the Diocese of Arusha, separating it from the Diocese of Moshi . Initially, the Diocese of Arusha was part of the Metropolis of Dar es Salaam .
On March 16, 1999, Pope John Paul II elevated the diocese of Arusha to the rank of archdiocese.
