Symbicangwa, Pascal

Pascal Simbikangwa (born 1959, Karago, Rwanda ) is a former officer of the Presidential Guard of Rwanda .

In 2014, a French court found guilty of involvement in the 1994 genocide in Rwanda . In particular, according to the court, Simbikangwa supplied arms to the Hutu people, as a result of which hundreds of thousands of Tutsis were destroyed. The court sentenced Simbikangwa, who was confined to a wheelchair since 1986, to 25 years in prison. The defendant pleaded not guilty.
