Biography
Ivan Moiseev was born on August 16, 1910 in the village of Velyun (now the Brest region of the Brest region of Belarus ). After graduating from five grades of the school, he studied accounting courses. In 1932, Moses was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. In 1933 he graduated from the regimental school, in 1938 - the courses of junior lieutenants, in 1942 - the courses "Shot". Since 1944 - on the fronts of World War II, he commanded a battalion of the 619th Infantry Regiment of the 203rd Infantry Division of the 53rd Army of the 2nd Ukrainian Front . Distinguished himself during the liberation of Hungary [1] .
On November 7, 1944, the Moiseev’s battalion was among the first to cross the Tisza River near the village of Sharud , 9 kilometers northwest of the city of Tisaderzh , after which it captured the enemy artillery battery, which facilitated the crossing of the main forces [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 24, 1945, Captain Ivan Moiseev was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal [1] .
In 1947, Moses was sacked. He lived and worked in the city of Mariinsk, Kemerovo region . He died on February 12, 1976 [1] .
He was also awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree and a number of medals [1] .
