Biography
Born in the village of Maslovo [1] [2] (later merged with the city of Kondrovo). From the age of 13, he worked at the Troitsk Paper Mill ( Kondrovo ): utility room, sheet grab, roller shutter, feeder, dryer.
Since 1893, at the Kondrovskaya Paper Mill: netter, foreman of the paper machine.
In 1935, already at the age of 67, he came up with how to increase the productivity of his paper machine in 1908. The record was set on the night of September 26-27, 1935 by the team of the inventor-rationalizer brigade. The paper industry magazine provides an extract from the factory’s shift magazine:
“The brigade of IK Pronin, at a rate of 1040 kilograms, produced 1577 kilograms of paper. All five rollers according to the laboratory reference are high-quality cable paper of high quality. There were no cliffs. ”
In order to transfer his advanced work experience, I.K. Pronin went on business trips to Kamensky, Balakhninsky, Kamsky, Novo-Lyalinsky combines and to other enterprises of the paper industry.
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1938. Member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the first convocation.

- Honorary Citizen of Kondrovo (title awarded posthumously).
Memory
In 1983, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the trade union, the Ministry of Pulp and Paper Industry, and the USSR State Committee on Forestry established the I.K. Pronin Prize, which was awarded on the Day of Forest Workers.
The name Pronina in Kondrovo is named after I.K. Pronin, where his native village Maslovo used to be located.
