Sultanovs

The Sultanovs are a noble family. From the Bashkirs of the village of Masteevo, Bulyar volost of the Kazan road (now the Aktanyshsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan ).

General characteristics

The ancestor of the Bashkir clan of the Sultanovs is Gabdulzelil Sultanov (1750—?). He took part in the Polish campaign of 1771-1773. He was a yurt foreman, in 1791 he was elevated to lieutenant. Since 1798, Gabdulzelil Sultanov became the canton chief of the XI Bashkir canton. His pedigree looks like this: Tuxaba - Shahvali - Tevkel - Tenrebirde - Yulbirde - Akul - Kotlysh - Kuzei - Totar - Chupan - Mamet - Sultan - Gabdulzelil .

Of the sons of Gabdulzelil Sultanov the most famous are:

  • Bayazit Sultanov (1774-1823) - major (1817). He was a yurt foreman. He served as an assistant to the chief, and after the chief of the XI Bashkir canton. Since 1804 he was in the rank of lieutenant, and since 1817 - the captain. The property of Bayazit Sultanov included 5 mills, 3 potash plants in the Menzelinsky district of the Orenburg province. He was awarded a gold medal on the Vladimir tape. There were two wives - “Bashkir daughter of Hamid Biktemirov” and “chief officer daughter of Farhazigan Ardashirova”;
  • Gabdulnasyr Sultanov (1779—?) - Yurt foreman;
  • Abdrahim Sultanov (1781—?) - Yurt foreman;
  • Abdulvakhit Sultanov (1782—?) - assistant to the yurt foreman;
  • Gabdulkhalik Sultanov (1783—?) - a camp centurion;
  • Mukhametrakhim Sultanov (1784-1841) - military foreman (1839). In 1809, he served as the centurion superintendent, and in 1812, as an officer of the 14th grade. In 1811 he was an assistant to the chief, since 1824 - the chief of the XI Bashkir canton. In 1829 - the centurion, in 1835 - Yesaul. Mukhametrakhim Sultanov owned 150 acres of land allotments, 4 potash plants in Belebeyevsky district , 12 landlord peasants in the village of Masteevo, 2 mills in the Menzelinsky district of the Orenburg province. He was married to the daughter of the Bashkir canton chief of the XII canton Kurmenkey Nagaybakov - Khabibzemal Kurmenkeyeva. In 1827, “For diligent service” he was awarded a gold medal on the Anninsky ribbon, in 1831 - a diamond ring, and in 1837 - the Order of St. Stanislav IV degree;
  • Gabdulsattar Sultanov (1793-1852) - marching esaul;
  • Gabdulgafar Sultanov (1794—?) - Camping centurion.

Of the sons of Bayazit Sultanov the most famous are:

  • Shagiakhmet Sultanov (1808-1852) - an ordinary corral. Since 1846, he served as assistant chief of the XI Bashkir canton. Shagiakhmet Sultanov owned a mill on the Uryadytamak River in the Menzelinsky district of the Orenburg province. He was married to the headquarters officer daughter Sagadan Abdryashitova;
  • Mukhametsharif Sultanov (1810-1874) - centurion. Mukhametsharif Sultanov in 1847 was appointed head of the XI Bashkir canton, and in 1861 - the XVIII Bashkir canton;
  • Shagimurat Sultanov (1816—?) - Yesaul. Since 1847 he was the manager of the yurt, since 1852 he worked as an assistant to the chief of the XII Bashkir canton, and since 1856 - the head of the XIX Bashkir canton. Shagimurat Sultanov owned a mill in the Menzelinsky district of the Orenburg province. He was awarded the bronze medal "In memory of the Eastern War of 1853-1856." He was married to Bibilatif Mukhametgareeva.

The son of Gabdulnasyr Sultanov - Shangarey Sultanov served in the Bashkir army. In 1836 he was part of the 9th Bashkir regiment on the border in Bessarabia.

Of the sons of Abdrahim Sultanov, the most famous is Mukhamedsadyk Sultanov . He served in the Bashkir army with the rank of major. In 1861, Mukhamedsadyk Sultanov was appointed head of the XXIII Bashkir canton, and later as the magistrate of the 6th section of Shadrinsky district . In 1877 he was introduced into the genealogy of hereditary nobles.

Sons of Mukhametrakhim Sultanov:

  • Shaikhilislam Sultanov (1817—?), Centurion. In 1842-1847 was the manager and chief of the XI Bashkir canton. In 1847, the rank of centurion was dismissed due to illness. He was married to Sarvizigan Abdulsalyamova - the daughter of Mufti G. Suleymanov , daughter - Bibinafisbanu and Bibikhusnisigan, sons: Shaikhizaman and Shaikhilislam. Shaikhilislam Sultanov owned 650 acres of land allotments, 12 landlord peasants in the village of Masteevo and 60 purchased peasants in the Ufa district . In 1838, during a maneuver at the village of Borodino, "he was honored to receive a golden watch from the emperor as a gift" [1] ;
  • Shagimardan Sultanov is a coronet. He served in the XI Bashkir canton. Together with his brother Shaikhilislam, they owned 1,000 tithes of land in Menzelinsky district, 150 tithes of land and a potash factory in Belebeyevsky district . He was married to the Akhun daughter Gainizemal Shamsutdinova.

Of the sons of Mukhametsharif Sultanov, the most famous were:

  • Arslangarey Sultanov (1833—?) - Centurion (1856). He graduated from the Orenburg Neplyuyev cadet corps . In 1851-1853 Arslangarey Sultanov was an assistant to the head of the XII Bashkir canton, and since 1856 - the head of the XX Bashkir canton;
  • Muhamedyar Sultanov (1837-1915) - Islamic religious leader, mufti of the Orenburg Mohammedan spiritual assembly .

Of the sons of Mukhamedyar Sultanov the most famous are:

  • Arsangali Sultanov (1862-1908) - staff captain. He graduated from the Orenburg Neplyuyev cadet corps, and in 1894 - the 2nd Konstantinovsky military school in St. Petersburg. Arsangali Sultanov was the vowel of the Ufa City Council, a sworn attorney of the Ufa District Court. Since 1905 he was elected leader of the Sterlitamak district nobility. Together with his wife M.T. Sultanova, he was engaged in charity work, he became one of the founders of the Ufa Trustee Committee on Poor Muslims. Received the title of Honorary Magistrate;
  • Iskanderbek Sultanov (1872-1920) - leader of the Bashkir national movement , member of Kese Kurultay - Pre-Parliament of Bashkurdistan .

Mansur (Mukhametmansur) Sultanov (1875-1919), the first professional musician from the Bashkirs, chairman of the charity fund, also belongs to the noble family of the Sultanovs (the genealogy of Gabdonkulil - Mukhametrakhim - Shaikhilislam - Shaikhilislam - Mukhametmansur). He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory.
