Biography
Peter Bonsdorf was born on October 27, 1791 in the south-west of Finland in the city of Abo (now Turku ).
In Helsingfors, he was successively an assistant professor, then an associate professor of chemistry and mineralogy at a local university. Bonsdorff's valuable research on these subjects has been published in the Acts of the Stockholm Academy of Sciences and Poggendorff 's Annales.
