Biography

Oksana Valeryevna Shishkova was born on June 10, 1991 in the city of Kharkov . From the age of three she studied in the acrobatic gymnastics section. At the age of seven, she started kung fu . At the age of ten, her vision began to deteriorate and she received visual impairment. From the age of thirteen she began to engage in Paralympic athletics (100 m and 200 m), received the title of “Masters of Sports of Ukraine”. In 2003, she took part in the Ukrainian Athletics Championship. And since 2004, while studying at boarding school No. 12 for children with visual impairments, she began to engage in cross-country skiing and biathlon. After graduating from school in 2009 I entered the I year at the Kharkov Veterinary Academy, specializing in Cynologist.

Sports career

Oksana Shishkova is the finalist of the 2009 World Cup in cross-country skiing and biathlon in the Norwegian Sucienne . She took 4th and 6th places in biathlon, 8th place - cross-country skiing. She is also a finalist of the 2009 World Cup in Finnish Vuokatti , where she took 4th place in biathlon (long distance) among the visually impaired athletes. Participated in the Winter Paralympics in Vancouver .

The athlete received two silver medals in biathlon (pursuit and 7.5 km) following a performance at the 2011 World Cup. She received the “silver” and “bronze” in the relay, taking part in the 2012 World Cup. At the 2013 World Championships in Sweden, Soleft was awarded the bronze medal in biathlon (middle distance) and became the silver medalist of the 2013 World Cup finals.

In 2014, at the competitions in Vuokatti, the athlete received the “bronze” in biathlon competitions (pursuit) [2] [3] . In the city of Oberstdorf , Germany, she participated in the competition for the championship finals of the World Cup in winter sports among athletes with visual impairments and a musculoskeletal system. Cross-country skiing took place from January 16 to 19, 2014 and Oksana Shishkova received silver (sprint free style) and bronze medals (long distance 15 km, free style) [3] .
