Bayern 2 ( German: Bavaria 2 ) is a German public radio station. Included in BR . The broadcasting grid of which is composed of cultural and informational programs.

History
On August 18, 1950 , the Second Bavarian Broadcasting Program on VHF waves with the center in Nuremberg , broadcasting on the territory of Franconia , was founded. Since 1958, full-fledged broadcasting from Munich began. In 1974, during the reforms, the radio station was named Bavaria 2 ( German: Bayern 2 ) and focused on classical music, but in 1979 it switched to youth music. In October 1980, Bayern 4 was launched, which took on the obligation to broadcast classical music on air, and Bayern 2 was renamed Bayern 2 Wort . In 2003, after the next change in the broadcasting grid, the radio station was named Bayern 2 Radio , and since October 8, 2007 it has been broadcasting under its current name.
Broadcast
Broadcasting is carried out in the VHF band, as well as in any cable networks. Digital broadcasting is available on LiveStream and DVB-S technologies. In the southern and northern parts of Bavaria, the radio station broadcasts in digital DAB format on channel 11D (channel 12D is occupied by the Bayern 2+ program, broadcasting from 23:00 to 0:00). In Berlin, broadcasting via DAB + digital terrestrial format is available.
