Biography

Orthodox. From the hereditary nobles of the Poltava province.

He graduated from the Poltava Cadet Corps (1888) and the 1st Military Pavlovsk School (1890), from where he was released as second lieutenant to the 33rd Infantry Elets Regiment .

Ranks: lieutenant (1893), staff captain (1900), captain (1902), lieutenant colonel (1905), colonel (for distinction, 1911), major general (1917).

He was a junior officer of the Chuguevsky infantry cadet school (1894-1899) and an educational officer of the Poltava Cadet Corps (1899-1914). Since 1911 he was also the company commander of the cadet corps.

On August 27, 1914 he was transferred to the 33rd Infantry Regiment of Yelets, with which he entered the First World War . He was awarded the Order of St. George , 4th degree

Since June 8, 1918 he was the head of the 6th division of the hetman army , on November 20 he was transferred as the head of the 11th division in Poltava. In November 1918, during the fall of Skoropadsky’s regime, he commanded a combined detachment of officers of the 6th Poltava Army Corps in battles against the troops of the UNR Directory .

Then he went to the Crimea . He participated in the White Movement as a part of the All-Union Socialist Liberation Union and the Russian Army, Baron Wrangel . He was in the reserve of ranks at the headquarters of the commander-in-chief of the All-Union Union of Liberal Democratic Forces (since January 1, 1919), in the reserve of ranks at the headquarters of the Crimean-Azov Volunteer Army (from January 22, 1919) and in the reserve of ranks of the officers of the All-Union Union of Socialist League (from June 22, 1920).
