The Society of Bashkir Women of the Republic of Bashkortostan ( Bashkortostan, Republic of һynyң, Bashkort ҡatyn-ҡyҙҙary yәmғiәte ) is a public organization created to improve the status of women in society, their role in the socio-political, economic, social and cultural life of the republic, strengthen the family, preserve and develop culture and language of the Bashkirs , folk traditions and crafts.

General characteristics

On November 17, 1990, in Ufa, at the Founding Congress, a public organization, the Society of Bashkir Women of the Republic of Bashkortostan, was established [1] .

As of 2007, 30 people were members of the Board of the Bashkir Women's Society.

The organization actively participates in various social events, such as Days of districts and cities of Bashkortostan, national holidays, contests, scientific and practical conferences, charitable assistance to orphanages, promotion of a healthy lifestyle and others.

The Society of Bashkir women is one of the organizers of the republican (“Exemplary Young Family”, “Khylyukai” [2] , “Bashkir National Costume” and others) and district (Bashkir sesens , “Best Mother”; holidays “Hello, fellow villagers”, “Shezhere” ", Evenings of" Bishok yyry "and other) contests.

The organization provides financial assistance to the Sermenevsky orphanage, a special boarding school in the village of Verkhny Avzyan and the orphanage in the village of Uzyan, Beloretsky district . Carries out various charity events. In 2013, she organized a charity event to provide assistance to victims of natural disasters in the Abzelilovsky district [3] .

The Bashkir Women's Society cooperates with the Ihlas mosque , in conjunction with which it organizes various events (scientifically-practical conference “Islam and Woman”). In In 2006, in Moscow and Yekaterinburg, representatives on behalf of the organization participated in conferences on family issues in a multi-ethnic space in cities. With the assistance of the organization, a Bashkir school was opened in 2006 in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, Republic of Tatarstan.

The Bashkir Women's Society is a member of the Women's Union of Bashkortostan, the World Kurultai (Congress) of Bashkirs . The company cooperates with the Interregional Women's Public Organization for the Promotion of the Preservation of the Traditions of Turkic Speaking Peoples, the World Association of Women of the Turkic World, Ak Tirma Public Organization and others.

The organization published a directory of famous women of Bashkortostan (“Bashkir woman at the turn of the millennium. Ufa, 2000.”), various methodological brochures (“Tips for a young family. Ufa, 1995.”, “Year of the mother. Ufa, 2001”) and other printed materials.
