Kirovsky district is an administrative-territorial unit in the Chelyabinsk and Kurgan regions, which existed in 1935-1963. The center is the village of Voskresenskoye (since 1940 - Kirovo).

Kirovsky district was formed as part of the Chelyabinsk region on January 18, 1935. It consisted of 15 village councils transferred from the Mishkinsky district : Varlakovsky, Gaganovsky, Dubrovinsky, Ivankovsky, Kirovsky, Kochegarovsky, Kupaysky, Mayaksky, Mokrushinsky, Plotnikovsky, Sartasovsky, Sokolovsky, Troitsky, Chernoyarsky and Shalamovsky.
On November 13, 1939, the Tolstopyatovsky s / s was transferred from the Kargapolsky district to Kirovsky.
On February 17, 1940, the center of the district, the village of Voskresenskoye, was renamed Kirovo.
February 6, 1943 the Kirov region became part of the Kurgan region.
On June 14, 1954 Kochegarovsky, Mayaksky, Plotnikovsky, Tolstopyatovsky, Sartasovsky and Troitsky s / s were abolished; formed Vilkinsky s / s.
March 13, 1957 from the Shadrinsky district in Kirov were transferred Borovskaya, Kolesnikovsky and Novopeskovsky s / s.
On April 26, 1958, Borovsk s / s was abolished. May 28, 1960 Chernoyarsk s / s was renamed Pervomaisk. July 25, 1960 was abolished Gaganovsky s / s.
On November 3, 1960, the Riga, Travyansky and Yakshinsky s / s were transferred from the abolished Galkinsky district to Kirovsky.
July 30, 1962 Travyansky and Yakshinsky s / s were annexed to Riga s / s.
February 1, 1963 the Kirov region was abolished. At the same time, Varlakovsky, Vilkinsky, Ivankovsky, Kirovsky, Kupaysky, Mokrushinsky, Pervomaisky. Riga, Travyansky and Shalamovsky s / s were transferred to Shumikhinsky district , and Dubrovinsky, Kolesnikovsky, Novopeskovsky and Sokolovsky - to Kargapolsky district.
