Galkinsky district

Galkinsky district is an administrative-territorial unit in the Chelyabinsk and Kurgan regions, which existed in 1935-1960. The center is the village of Galkino .

History

Galkinsky district was formed as part of the Chelyabinsk region on the basis of the decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of January 18, 1935. It consisted of 23 village councils transferred from the Shadrinsky ( Peschanotavolzhansky village council ), Shumikhinsky (Kotlikovsky, Kulikovsky, Riga , Starikovsky and Travyansky village councils ) and Schuchansky areas ( Galkinsky , Gladsky, Zaozersky, Knutovsky, Mikhailovsky, Mogilsky, Pesky, Nikitinsky Petrovsky, Proshkinsky , Puktyshsky , Utichievsky, Ushakovsky, Cherdakovsky, Chudnyakovsky and Yakshinsky village councils).

In 1936-1940 Mogilsky village council was abolished.

On February 6, 1943, the Galkinsky district became part of the Kurgan region.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of December 22, 1948, the Peschanotavolzhansky village council was transferred to Baturinsky district .

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of November 22, 1951, the Petrovsky Village Council was abolished.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of June 14, 1954, the Gladsky, Zaozersky, Knutovsky, Nikitinsky, Utichyevsky and Cherdakovsky village councils were abolished.

By the decision of the Kurga regional executive committee of June 10, 1959, the Kulikovsky, Mikhailovsky, Ushakovsky and Chudnyakovsky village councils were abolished.

By November 1960, 10 village councils remained in the Galkinsky district.

On November 3, 1960, the Galkinsky district was abolished, while the Riga, Travyansky and Yakshinsky village councils were transferred to the Kirovsky district ; Peschansky and Proshkinsky village councils - in Uksyansky district ; Galkinsky, Kotlikovsky and Starikovsky village councils - to Shumikhinsky district; Nikolaev and Puktysh village councils - to Schuchansky district.
