Biography
Born November 24, 1957 in the city of Penza .
He graduated from high school number 41 of Penza ( 1975 ), Faculty of History and Philology of the Penza State Pedagogical Institute. VG Belinsky ( 1983 ), graduate school of the Mordovian Research Institute of Language, Literature, History and Economics under the Government of the Republic of Mordovia ( 1993 ).
In 1976-1978 served in the Soviet Army in the air force ( NDP ).
Scientific activities, scientific interests
In 1979–1983, he participated in expeditions to study the axiom features of the Russian state in the 16th and 18th centuries .
In 1987–1993 he worked as deputy chief of the Mordovian archaeological expedition to study the medieval history of Mordovians.
Conducted archaeological research of a number of ancient Mordovian archaeological monuments in the Penza region:
- the burial ground near the village of Alfereyevka (4th — 11th centuries AD.) ( Penza district );
- Armievsky I and II (VII — VIII centuries AD. And IX — XI centuries AD.) And Machkassky (XVII-XVIII centuries) burial grounds ( Shemysheysky district );
- Chernozersky (XIV century) and Dolgorukovsky (XIV century) burial grounds ( Moksha region );
- settlement with a. Army (X — XIII centuries) ( Shemyshey district ).
These studies have contributed to the study of the medieval culture of the Mordovian people. V. I. Pervushkin, in the framework of these studies, was first made a detailed typology of Moksha funeral rite of the XII-XIV centuries.
He taught at the secondary school number 46 in Penza. In 1985-1991 he worked as a researcher, head of a branch of the Penza State Museum of Local History.
Since 1991, he has been teaching at the Penza State Pedagogical University. VG Belinsky (now - VG Belinsky Pedagogical Institute, Penza State University ). In 1994-1998 - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History.
In 1995 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of historical sciences on the topic: "The history of the culture of the Mordovians-Moksha XII-XVI centuries."
Since 1998 - Associate Professor , since 2007 - Professor in the Department of Modern History of Russia and Local History of the Penza State Pedagogical University. V. G. Belinsky.
In 2008 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences on the topic: “The formation and development of provincial local history in Russia in the second third of the XIX - early XX century (using the Penza, Tambov and Saratov provinces as an example)” .
Repeatedly participated in the work of a number of international, All-Russian, inter-regional, regional and inter-university scientific conferences.
His research interests are medieval history of the Volga region , archeology, ethnography, provincial historical science of the 19th — 20th centuries, local history.
Author of more than 170 scientific papers, including 8 monographs, 7 textbooks published in Moscow , Saransk , Ryazan , Vladimir , Saratov , Samara , Izhevsk , Vitebsk and Penza.
In 1997–2009, he was the editor-in-chief of Penza research papers “Historical Notes”. From 2014 to the present, the editor-in-chief of the popular science journal Penza Regional Studies.
Member (1999–2002) and Academic Secretary (2003–2007) of the Dissertation Council on Historical Sciences at the Penza State Pedagogical University. V. G. Belinsky.
In 2004, he led the implementation of the grant project of the Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation : "The peoples of the Volga region in the history and culture of Russia."
Under his leadership, he defended seven theses for the degree of candidate of historical sciences in the specialty: 07.00.02 - Russian history.
