Biography
She studied at the scriptwriting department of VGIK and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Since the end of the 80s, she participated in the unofficial art and literary life of Moscow and Leningrad, was close to the circle of Moscow conceptualism , published in samizdat (in particular, in Mitin Magazine and in the journal Place of the Press ). Since 1990, lives in Germany, where she became known as an artist and writer. As an artist, she was awarded an art scholarship by the Dresdner Bank named after Jurgen Ponto. As a writer, she was twice awarded the literary scholarship of the Berlin Senate. Since 2000, she has carried out a number of artistic events, including the performance “Divine Hunt” (an excursion for sheep at the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt am Main). In 2003, she initiated the international festival “Art and Crime” at the Hebbel Theater in Berlin. In 2006 she founded the "Club of Dead Artists".
Lives and works in Berlin and in New York.
