General information
Located on the Zaonezhsky peninsula of Lake Onega . The lake is narrow in shape, stretched from the north-west to the southeast, in the northern part of the lake there are two large bays: Vasenskaya Bay and Chublatskaya Bay. The shores are mostly high, rocky, covered with mixed forest. There are 15 islands on the lake, the largest is the Bolshoi island, about 1 km long.
The main tributary is through the channel from Lake Gakhkozero . Runoff through the Chuzhmuksu duct to the forest lake-lamb Vozdvizhenskoe and further to Lake Onega.
The bottom is covered with silty sediments, the coastal zone of the bottom is rocky. Higher aquatic vegetation is represented mainly by small reed beds in the bays.
The lake is inhabited by vendace, roach, pike, perch, burbot, and ruff.
