Biography

Pupil of the Sverdlovsk " Youth ", coaches - P. Petrov , I. Taskaev.

In the seasons of 1970-1974 he played for the Sverdlovsk " Motorist ".

In 1974 he was drafted into the army, played as part of the Sverdlovsk SKA. In April 1975, the coach of the Sverdlovsk team, Yevgeny Mishakov, recommended his ward to CSKA Moscow . In the season 1974/1975 he played nine matches, but did not manage to “play” a gold medal, for which it was required to hold at least 50 percent of the meetings.

In the season 1975/1976 he played in the third link and spent 25 matches, gaining 7 (3 + 4) points. But the main event of that season for Kutergin was the participation in the first Super Series of clubs of the NHL and the USSR , where Victor scored a goal in the match with the current Stanley Cup winner “ Philadelphia Flyers ”. In total, in the matches of the Super Series, Kutergin spent 3 games - with the “ New York Rangers ”, “ Boston Bruins ” and “Philadelphia”.

At the end of the 1975/76 season, he wrote a letter of resignation from CSKA and returned to Avtomobilist [1] , having played four seasons for the Sverdlovsk club. He missed the 1980/1981 season due to disqualification.

In 1981, Izhstal joined the squad, where he spent the 1981/82 and 1982/83 seasons. Both years in Izhevsk became the top scorer, gaining an average point per game. In 105 major league games and transitional tournaments, he scored 51 goals and gave 53 assists. [2]

In the summer of 1983, he finally returned to Avtomobilist. In total, in the major league for Avtomobilist, he played 252 matches, scored 102 goals, and gave 75 assists [3] .

In 1992-1995 he worked as a head coach at Avtomobilist .

He died on March 17, 2019 at the 67th year of his life [4] . He was buried at the Shirokorechensky cemetery .

Family

He was married to a famous athlete, the world champion in table tennis. The family has two sons. Kutergin later admitted that he had offers from other hockey clubs of the USSR, but did not leave anywhere.

On July 15, 2017, Viktor Aleksandrovich Kutergin married, got married to Kutergin Marina. And until the last days of their lives, they were together.
