Biography
Mikhail Mikhalkov was born on October 17, 1917 in the village of Lyalichi (now Surazhsky District, Bryansk Region ). After graduating from seven classes of school and factory apprenticeship, he lived in Klintsy , worked in a factory. He graduated from the two courses of work. In 1938 - 1941 he served in the Pacific Fleet . In June 1941, Mikhalkov was again drafted into the army. From December of the same year - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. In the battles he was wounded four times [1] .
By January 1945, the senior sergeant Mikhail Mikhalkov of the Guard commanded a platoon of anti-tank guns of the 283rd Guards Rifle Regiment of the 94th Guards Rifle Division of the 5th Shock Army of the 1st Belorussian Front . Distinguished during the liberation of Poland . On January 14, 1945, a platoon of Mikhalkov participated in the breakthrough of the German defense from the Magnushevsky bridgehead . In those battles, Mikhalkov and his comrades destroyed 1 observation post, 4 bunkers , 3 machine-gun points, 1 anti-tank artillery battery. Among the first Mikhalkov went to the Pilica river south of the city of Varka and fired an anti-tank rifle at the enemy [1] .
By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 27, 1945, for the exemplary performance of the combat tasks of the command on the front against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown by the guard, senior sergeant Mikhail Mikhalkov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the medal " Gold Star ” [1] .
After the end of the war in the rank of foreman Mikhalkov was demobilized. For a long time he worked as a master in the coal mines in Svalbard , in 1961 he moved to the city of Pushkino, Moscow Region . He died on January 25, 1984, and was buried at the Nevzorovsky cemetery of the Pushkinsky district of the Moscow region [1] .
He was also awarded the Order of the Red Banner and World War 2 nd degree, a number of medals [1] .
