In the Ukrainian parliamentary elections in 2012, the party nominated candidates in four constituencies - Alexander Spiridonov, Sergey Aksyonov, Sergey Shuvaynikov and Mikhail Makeev [11] [12] , but not a single one won [13] .
On February 27, 2014, the leader of Russian Unity, Sergei Aksyonov, by decision of the Supreme Council of Crimea, headed the government of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea [14] and subsequently played an important role in the annexation of Crimea to the Russian Federation .
On April 30, 2014, by a decision of the Kiev District Administrative Court, party activity was banned in Ukraine [11] , and therefore the party self-dissolved. On September 4, 2014, the Kiev Regional Administrative Court of Appeal rejected the appeal of the Russian Unity party and upheld the decision of the trial court to ban its activities [15] .
