Biography
Born on February 11 ( February 24 ), 1905 in the village of Strelechya Polyana, Tula province . He graduated from Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman (1930), a process engineer.
In 1930-1933 - at the Tsemproekt Soyuzcement: the head of the launch group; in 1933-1962 - at the Satka plant “Magnesite”: technical director of the caustic workshop, head of the metallurgical powder workshop, deputy chief engineer - head of maintenance, chief engineer, director; In 1962-1976, he was the head of the refractory industry department of the State Committee for Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metallurgy, the chief engineer of the Main Directorate of the Refractory Materials Industry.
Under his leadership, the production of chromomagnesite products, which began to be used in arches of open-hearth furnaces instead of dinas, was mastered. He was engaged in the development of production: new excavators, electric locomotives in the mining sector were introduced; shaft furnaces were modernized, powder and press workshops were expanded, a mechanical workshop was built, the first stage of the New Magnesite Plant was commissioned. He died on September 7, 1990 . He was buried in Moscow at the Khovansky cemetery .
