Biography
Graduated from Siberian Metallurgical Institute , metallurgical engineer .
Winner of the Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR. Hero of Socialist Labor. He was awarded the Orders of Lenin, the October Revolution, the Red Banner of Labor (twice), Friendship of Peoples, and medals.
He worked at the Izhevsk Metallurgical Plant : foreman, senior foreman of the open-hearth shop, head of the control and mechanical laboratory, head of the department of technical control of the plant, party committee secretary, deputy chief engineer for new equipment, chief engineer of Izhstal ; in 1980-1988 - General Director of Izhstal.
On his initiative, significant changes were made in the design of the electric steel-smelting shop and the shop of steel shaped sections. He developed and introduced the rolling technology at the Blooming mill of ingots of high-speed grades by weight of 1150 kg, which made it possible to increase the yield and reduce cost. Under his leadership, the production of remelting processes - electroslag and vacuum-arc, was mastered, which allowed the plant to become one of the leading suppliers of high-quality metal in the country, the production of flattened tape for piston rings of internal combustion engines. The initiator of many technical undertakings at the plant: the design of an elongated ingot, the introduction of process control systems , the development of the production of high-speed steel grades with nitrogen, a conical ingot for the production of special products, consumer goods, etc. [1]
He lived in Izhevsk. Died March 21, 2014. He was buried on the Alley of Honorable Burials of the Khokhryakovsky Cemetery .
