Biography
Representative of the noble family Pusheshnikovs . In 1649, it was first mentioned as a solicitor.
In 1649, V. L. Pushechnikov twice " spent the night and slept " in the " sovereign's court ". Since 1650, he was often mentioned among those who accompanied Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich during trips from the capital on a pilgrimage.
He was an active participant in the Russo-Polish War (1654–1667) , during which the solicitor V. L. Pushechnikov served as the “ head of the Moscow archers ”.
In December 1658, V. L. Pushechnikov, commanding a regiment of Moscow archers, was sent together with the governor O. I. Sukin from Smolensk via Vitebsk to Polotsk . On December 14, O. Sukin and V. Pushechnikov arrived in Vitebsk, and on December 21 they went from there to Polotsk. However, near the village of Beshenkovichi, the Russian army was attacked with their troops by Colonels Samuel Lukomsky, Samuel Kmitich and Karol Lisovsky. The tsar's governors were under siege, from which they were released by the voivode Luka Vladimirovich Lyapunov , who hurried to the rescue from Polotsk.
In March 1660, "the head of the Moscow archers " Vasily Pushechnikov with his regiment was sent to Vilna to Prince D. E. Myshetsky , and in May 1660 he was sent with his regiment to the boyar Prince I. A. Khovansky (" Tararu ") near Lyakhovichi.
On June 17 and 18, 1660, in the battles near Polonka and near Lyakhovichi, the Russian army under the command of Prince Khovansky was defeated by the Polish-Lithuanian troops of Sapega , Charnetsk , Polubinsky and Kmitich . The defeat was so severe that only a month later, on July 12, it was possible to collect the remnants of the army, determine the losses and make a review of the remaining units. At the review of the troops in Polotsk, V. L. Pushechnikov appeared on his face (“in the art”); after the show, he stayed in Polotsk.
In addition to the army of Prince Khovansky, operating near Polotsk, in Belarus there was a second Russian army under the command of Prince Yu. A. Dolgorukov . The Polish-Lithuanian regiments, standing between the two Russian governors, tried in every possible way to hinder their connection.
Having defeated Khovansky, Pavel Sapega, Stefan Charnetskiy, Mikhail Pats and Alexander Polubinsky opposed the Dolgorukov group, but were defeated in a three-day battle at the village of Gubarevo (near Mogilev ). Despite the victory, the position of Prince Dolgorukov was difficult, since the Poles and Lithuanians seized provisions and messengers sent to Smolensk .
Meanwhile, Khovansky recovered from defeat at Polonkoy and put his army in order. The Polish-Lithuanian army under the command of Charnetskiy and Sapieha was located in the vicinity of Polotsk. Ivan Khovansky, who had a 12,000-strong army, gathered a council of war (which was also attended by the " head of the Moscow archers " - Vasily Pushechnikov) and decided to give battle to the enemy. In November 1660, in the vicinity of Polotsk, the Russian army suffered a new defeat from the Polish-Lithuanian army and was forced to retreat back to the city.
In March 1661, Prince Khovansky received an order - as soon as new infantry regiments from Smolensk and Moscow came to replace Polotsk, they would release Moscow archers with their " heads " to the capital. September 1, 1662 V. Pushechnikov was in Moscow and continued to serve as the head of the Moscow archers.
In 1667, V. L. Pushechnikov was sent with a regiment of Moscow archers to Astrakhan . In 1671, after the suppression of the Razin uprising in Astrakhan, the tsarist government sent the boyar of Prince Y. N. Odoyevsky and the stolnik I.M. Korkodinov to the voivodship in Astrakhan. The solicitor Vasily Lavrentievich Pushechnikov was " given " as a comrade and became the third governor.
In February 1674, Prince Odoyevsky was replaced by the first governor of Astrakhan, the okolnichnik I. Miloslavsky , and his " comrades " remained I. M. Korkodinov and V. L. Pushechnikov. March 3, 1675 Vasily Pushechnikov was called from Astrakhan to Moscow.
In 1675, V. L. Pushechnikov was granted from solicitors to stewards , and in 1677 he was appointed "commander" of the voivode to Kazan , to Mikhail Lvovich Plescheev .
Later, Vasily Pushechnikov received the title of " Colonel Streletsky ." In January 1682, he took part in the Zemsky Cathedral in Moscow, where he signed a council resolution abolishing parochialism . In the same year, after the wedding of the brothers Ivan and Peter Alekseevichy to the kingdom (June 25, 1682), Vasily Lavrentievich Pushechnikov was granted from the stolniks to the Duma nobles .
The last time it was mentioned in 1692 with the rank of the Duma nobleman.
