Quintuple double ( eng. Quintuple-double , literally five-time double or five-time double ) is a basketball term meaning that a player has picked up at least 10 points (that is, a two-digit number) by a player in one match in five statistics. The indicators are points , rebounds , assists , interceptions and block-shots . Example - 15 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists, 10 interceptions, 10 block shots.
Currently, in the history of NBA matches there are no cases of the player’s recruitment of such a statistic. But there are two cases of quintuple doubles in the matches of the US school championship for girls. The first - in 1997, Tamika Catchings from Duncanville High School ( Duncanville , Texas scored 25 points, 18 rebounds, 11 assists, 10 interceptions and 10 block shots. [1] Second - January 7, 2012 Aimee Oertner from Northern Lehigh High School ( Slatington , PA ) scored 26 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals and 11 block shots.
