Faley of Chalcedon ( Greek Φαλέας ὁ λαλκηδόνιος , presumably of the 5th century BC - the beginning of the 4th century BC ) is an ancient Greek thinker from Chalcedon , a theoretician of the ideal social structure of the ancient polis .

The only surviving mention of it is in the " Politics " of Aristotle .
According to Aristotle's Politics, Faley of Chalcedon is one of the first developers of the theory of an ideal fair social order. “Faley of Chalcedon was the first to make the following proposal: the land ownership of citizens (τὰς κτήσεις τῶν πολιτῶν) should be equal to (ἴσας)” (Politics, II, 4, 1) [2] .
