In the World Cup, Cockney made his debut on January 22, 2011 , in December 2012, for the only time in his career, he was in the top ten at the World Cup stage in the sprint. In addition to this, today he has 2 hits in the top thirty at the World Cup stages, both in the team sprint. Cockney's best achievement in the overall World Cup standings is 108th in the 2012/13 season.
At the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, he took 53rd place in the sprint, 12th place in the relay and 56th place in the mass start at 50 km.
