Aleksey Aleksandrovich Zasecki (1717-1784) - Russian writer of the late 18th century , one of the first local historians of Vologda , owner of a large library and antiquities collection, captain-lieutenant of the Life Guard .

His main work: “Historical and topographical history of ancient times about Russia, and partly about the city of Vologda and its district, and about the current state of it, From various printed and manuscripts of Russian and foreign books from the collection of collected books on the 17th of January. “University Printing House of 1780.” This work, the first ever book about Vologda , was published in Moscow in 1780 and in 1782 (revised edition) thanks to the participation of the educator, book publisher and mason N. I. Novikov [3] .
A. A. Zasetskiy also translated into verses the “Book of the Wisdom of Jesus the Son of Sirach” (M., 1777 ).
The Zasecki House (1790s) - the oldest surviving wooden building in Vologda , a monument of Vologda wooden architecture .
In the confessional sheet of the church of Dimitry of Solunsky, which in Ramenje for 1757 mentions "The Life Guards of the Preobrazhensky Regiment, retired captain-lieutenant Alexey Alexandrov, son Zasetskiy - 46, his wife Anna Ivanovna - 46" [4] .
