Location

The village of Bereznyaki is located in the southwestern part of Yegoryevsky District, about 21 km south of the city of Yegoryevsk. At 0.5 km to the west of the village flows the river Ramenka . Altitude 131 m [2] .

Title

The name comes from the term birch, birch - "birch forest" [3] .

History

Until the abolition of serfdom, the peasants of the village belonged to the category of state peasants , in 1844 they bought the land from the state. After 1861, the village became part of the Ramenskoye volost of Yegoryevsk uyezd [4] .

In 1926, the village was part of the Ramensky village council of the Ramenskoye volost, Yegoryevsk uyezd [5] .

Until 1994, the Bereznyaki were part of the Ramenskoye Village Council of the Egoryevsk District, and in 1994–2006. - Ramensky rural district [6] .

Population

In 1885, 234 people lived in the village [7] , in 1905 - 304 people (151 men, 153 women) [8] , in 1926 - 142 people (68 men, 74 women) [5] . According to the 2002 census , 14 persons (7 men, 7 women) [9] .
