Biography

Born in Azer ( Dordogne ).

He was a deputy to the National Assembly of France from 1951 to 1983 and a senator from 1983 to 1988 from the Law department . He served as mayor of Cahors for 25 years.

As State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of France, he signed the Treaty of Rome , which initiated the creation of the European Union, from France.

Faure was appointed to the Constitutional Council of France by President Francois Mitterrand .

In 1957, Fore was awarded the Honorary Badge of Merit for the Republic of Austria .

He died on March 6, 2014 at the age of 92 in Cahors, Law.
