The first settlers settled on the Rubin borrow, on the river Che. Large areas are reserved for Ivan Kharkhotkin and Aleksandrov for apiaries, mills, forges . ”

Kunchevsky Ivan (The last resident of the village of Rubino)

In the 1950s with. There were 99 houses in Rubino, since there were 96 radio outlets in the village, and they did not want to conduct radio in three houses — the old people lived there. Foundation History

Indigenous peoples

Many centuries ago, the northern part of the present Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Tomsk Region were populated by various ethnic groups. Among them were Tungus , Selkups , chum , Ostyaks . The Ostyaks lived in the basin of the Ob River, which includes the Chulym River and the Chet River . The Russians who came to Siberia at the beginning of the 17th century began to call the local population aboriginal, alien, or yasash . The last word originates from the word "yasak", i.e. tribute , file.

First settlers

In the second half of the 17th century, Old Believer schismatics settled here. This is a group of believers who separated from the Orthodox Church and did not accept Patriarch Nikon’s church reforms. Old Believers were also called Kerzhaks , because after the split they were hiding from prosecution by the authorities in deep forests along the Kerzhentsu River. After the decree of 1762, the Old Believers could return to their homeland, but few exercised this right. The splitters of Kerzhak, on the contrary, began to move farther to the east, and over time, hermitage settlements appeared. In 1853, the monasteries began to destroy and then the Old Believers went to remote places, in the impassable taiga. So Tsymbalov, Ionin, Mymrin and Rubin first appeared in this region, therefore the first inhabitants of the village were Old Believers , as was the founder of the settlement itself.

Excerpt from the book of A. Dukhovich (Rubino in 1896): “Even further 20 miles down the River Chet on the high left bank is the village of Rubinsky or the Rubin apprentice. She represents a group of very good, durable buildings with a variety of outdoor services. Especially good is the house of Rubin himself, which resembles the best village houses of inhabited places of the Mariinsky district. Borrowers rent from the Mariinsky forest district a state-of-the-border plot called “Altai” and are engaged in arable farming here. In 1895, the area of arable land borrowers stretched to 20 acres, and under the winter there were 9 acres, under the spring - 7 acres, the remaining 4 under potatoes, flax, etc. The area of arable land was distributed as follows: Mymrin - 3 tithes, Ruby - 5 tithes, unknown - 2 tithes. ”

Background of Mass Settlement

In 1861, the peasants of Russia received freedom from serfdom. The landowner was no longer the master over them. From then on, peasants could move freely within the territory of the Russian Empire . Many took advantage of this opportunity and began to move from their homes to other areas from west to east. the reason for this was a small amount of land in the peasant lands. The most courageous were sent to Siberia , where such lands were apparently invisible.

Here they created borrowings, many of which later became villages and hamlets. Hunger in 40 provinces in western Russia in the years 1891-1892 pushed the peasants to move to Siberia.

The flow of migrants to Siberia has sharply increased since 1906. The reason for this was the revolution of 1905 and, especially, the beginning of the agrarian reform of P.A. Stolypin , who was then chairman of the Council of Ministers. [3]
