Zhitichi is a West Slavic tribe that inhabited the basin of the Zale River, a tributary of the Elbe . Neighboring with other small Slavic tribes: the Hudics , non - Leticists , nudists , Koledichs , Girmumts . All these tribes in the X century came under German influence. The area was very hectic and eventually all of these tribes and their lands were absorbed by the German Empire.
