Location

The village of Lelechi is located in the southwestern part of the Yegoryevsky District, about 26 km south-east of the city of Yegoryevsk. At 0.5 km to the south of the village the Tsna River flows. Height above sea level 117 m [2] .

Title

In written sources it is mentioned as Lelechi (XVI century), Vrazhskoye, Lelechi identity (XVIII century). Subsequently, the name of Lelechi was fixed to the village.

Name Vrazhskoe on the location of the village on both sides of a large ravine. Lelechi name from the owner's name Lelechin [3] .

History

Until the abolition of serfdom, the village belonged to landowner Yermolova. After 1861, the village became part of the Leleic volost of Yegoryevsk uyezd [4] .

In 1926, the village was part of the Lelechevsky village council of the Lelechevsky volost of Yegoryevsk uyezd [5] .

Until 1994, Lelechi was part of the Bobkovsky Village Council of the Egorevsky District, and in 1994–2006. - Ramensky rural district [6] .

In the early 1980s, an attempt was made to revive this village. During 1983-1986, 10 single-story brick houses, a brigade house, a tea-house, a first-aid post, a bathhouse, a communications center, a children's factory, 2 shops, a club and a library were renovated. Employees of the state farm moved into new homes. [7]

Population

In 1885, 360 people lived in the village [8] , in 1905 - 330 people (165 men, 165 women), and 13 people in the manor church (4 men and 9 women) [9] , in 1926 - 240 people (104 men, 136 women) [5] . According to the 2002 census, there were 351 people (177 men, 174 women) [10] .
