Champion of Brazil 1963 and 1968 Silver medalist of the championships of Brazil 1961, 1964 and 1966 Bronze medalist of the championships of Brazil 1967, 1970 and 1985

In the Brazilian national team, he participated in five chess olympiads (1968, 1970, 1974, 1980, 1984).

In 1963, 1966, 1969, 1972 and 1975. represented Brazil in zonal tournaments .

The younger brother of R. Camara . Nephew of Archbishop E. Camara .

An incorrect defense is often associated with the name of E. Camara : 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Qe7 ?! which he applied in two games of the 1954 Brazilian Championship [1]
