The University of Arizona has a long and rich basketball history. With the advent of head coach Lut Olson in 1983, the team was considered one of the best in the country. One of the sports journalists called Arizona Wildcats Point Guard U [1] because the school released a large number of high-profile defenders such as Steve Kerr , Sean Elliot , Damon Stademeire , Khalid Reeves , Jason Terry , Gilbert Arinas , Mike Bibby , Jerrid Bayless and others.
From 1985 to 2009, Arizona Wildcats made it to the NCAA for 25 consecutive years, and is second only to North Carolina in this indicator (27) [2] [3] [4] . Despite the fact that the NCAA officially canceled the Wildcats results, the media still mentions a series of Arizona exits [5] [6] . Arizona reached the Final Four four times (1988, 1994, 1997, 2001). In 1997, Wildcats beat the reigning champion of the University of Kentucky in the tournament finals and won the league title for the first time in their history. Teams won the regular championship of the Pac-10/12 conference 13 times and became the winner of the Pac-10 tournament 4 times.
