Vatchelskoe [3] [1] (Vatchelskoe [3] [1] , Vatchala [1] , Kutchezero [1] ) is a Russian lake in the Kondopoga region of the Republic of Karelia .

General information
The lake has a shape close to triangular. The coast is rocky or sandy, covered with forest. The number of islands is 9, with a total area of about 0.5 km².
Small streams flow into the lake, the water of Lake Naydomozero flows through a narrow channel in the southern part. The drain from the lake is the Kuzha River.
The bottom is covered with dark silt. The lake is shallow, depths of 3-4 m prevail.
Higher vegetation is represented by reeds and floating populations.
The lake is inhabited by vendace, roach, pike, bream, perch, ruff and burbot.
The lake freezes at the end of October, opens in early May.
