Plecturocebus vieirai (lat.) - a species of primates from the Saca family living in the northern part of Brazil [2] .

Content
ClassificationThe species was described in 2012 as Callicebus vieirai and named after Professor Carlos Vieira ( port. Carlos Octaviano da Cunha Vieira ), a Brazilian zoologist and former curator of the mammalian collection of the Sao Paulo Zoological Museum [2] . In 2016, by the results of molecular genetic studies, Byrne and colleagues transferred it to the genus Plecturocebus [1] .
DescriptionThe medium-sized representative of the genus Plecturocebus . The hair on the head, back, tail and external surfaces of the limbs is grayish-brown, with the tip of the tail, palms and feet white. The abdomen, chest and internal surface of the limbs are orange. It differs from related species by the presence of white wool surrounding the black face. Body length is less than tail length [2] .
DistributionThey are found in three separate areas in the Brazilian states of Mato Grosso and Para [2] .
