Diev, Vladimir Serafimovich

In 1977 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Novosibirsk State University (NSU).

In 1998 he defended his doctoral dissertation "Philosophical and methodological analysis of the problems of managerial decision-making" in the specialty "Philosophy of Science and Technology." From 1995 to 2016 - Dean of the Philosophy Faculty of NSU. Since 2016 - Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of NSU.

Since 2003 - Leading Researcher at the Institute of Philosophy and Law, SB RAS .

In 2009, the V Russian Philosophical Congress was held in Novosibirsk at the NSU resource base. Diev V. S. was involved in the organization of this Congress, being the deputy chairmen of the organizing committee.

Currently - Vice President of the Russian Philosophical Society ; co-chair of the Association of Philosophical Faculties and Departments of Russian Universities ; Member of the Presidium of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association for an enlarged group of areas of training "Philosophy, Ethics and Religious Studies"; Chairman of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Philosophical Society. The chief editor of the Siberian Philosophical Journal, as well as a member of the editorial boards of a number of leading domestic scientific journals: Philosophy of Science , Man , Person. The culture. Society ” ,“ Values ​​and Meanings ”,“ Bulletin of Tomsk State University . Philosophy. Sociology. Political Science ”,“ Ideas and Ideals ”,“ ΣΧΟΛΗ. Philosophical Antiquity and the Classical Tradition . ”

The philosophical and methodological foundations of management are the ontological, epistemological, social aspects of this sphere of human activity, as well as the problems of decision-making, risk, intuition, globalization, and philosophy of education.

Key research findings

• A complex of philosophical and methodological problems related to management, the role of this phenomenon in the life of society has been studied, original conceptual approaches have been developed and proposed to describe and analyze management in various contexts.
• The range of philosophical and methodological problems associated with the adoption of managerial decisions is investigated.
• Among the epistemological problems, the questions of the epistemological status of decisions, their justification, as well as the logic of decision-making in the light of various types of rationality are studied.
• A new typology of uncertainties in the problems of making managerial decisions is proposed.
• A universal approach to risk analysis has been developed and justified.
