The Water Sports Palace ( azerb. Su İdmanı Sarayı ) is located in the new part of Baku Boulevard and has a total area of 72,000 square meters.

Meets fully the requirements of the International Swimming Federation. In June 2015, the palace hosted swimming, synchronized swimming and diving competitions as part of the I European Games [1] .
History
August 30, 2012 [2] President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the construction of the Water Sports Palace in Baku. For the design and construction of the palace, 5 million manat was initially allocated from the Presidential Reserve Fund envisaged in the state budget for 2012 to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan. The design of the palace was completed by the South Korean company Securo CO.LTD [3] .
On April 19, 2013, with the participation of Ilham Aliyev, the ceremony of laying the foundation of the Palace of Water Sports took place [3] [4] .
The water sports palace has three swimming pools. The length of the main pool is 50, the width is 25, and the depth is 2.5 meters. This pool is intended for competitions in various water sports of local and international level.
The length of the swimming pool in the main hall for diving from a height is 25 meters, the width is 20. A five-stage platform for diving from a height of 1, 3, 5, 7.5 and 10 meters is built here. Also in the palace will operate fitness rooms, a restaurant, conference rooms, offices, locker rooms, office and utility rooms. In addition, auxiliary buildings and installations, ground parking for 500 cars are being built on the territory of the Water Sports Palace. It is noted that 6 thousand spectators will be able to watch the competitions held in the palace [3] .
April 20, 2015 the opening of the Palace of Water Sports. The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife, chairman of the Organizing Committee of the first European Games “Baku-2015” Mehriban Aliyeva [5] .
